School characteristics

【 School characteristics 】
● Starting from the 2025 entrance examination, the number of available places has been increased from a few to 55.
●During Entrance Examination, we place emphasis on the interview and self-promotion.
● "Learning by doing." We expand on traditional practical education and practice a learning method in which students try out the knowledge and theories they have gained in the classroom in the real world, gaining many realizations and discoveries and growing from them.
● "Comprehensive qualification support system" We offer a variety of qualification courses and bookkeeping/accounting courses (Mizuho-kai) on campus, and have several grant systems in place for those who pass.
● "Extensive employment support" We support your job hunting activities by working with approximately 1,060 CUC Alliance companies that are actively seeking to hire our students.
● "Entrepreneurial support for current students" In order to provide students with the opportunity to start their own businesses while they are still enrolled, we have established a support system for opening and running restaurants in the campus cafeteria space.

【International Student Support System, etc】
● “Tuition exemption system for privately financed international students”
There is a system in place that provides annual tuition fee reductions and exemptions to privately funded international students, after an internal selection process based on university regulations.
* All students will receive a 30% reduction in tuition fees for the first year of enrollment. From the second year onwards, the amount will be 20-50% of the tuition fees for that year depending on the academic performance (GPA) of the previous year. Students are also welcome to apply for other private scholarships (subject to certain conditions).
● "Individual support through class teachers"
We support students in having a rich campus life through regular interviews with class teachers and weekly "International Student Classes."
● "International Student Tutor System"
Japanese students will support international students in their new life and Japanese language studies. Japanese students will also participate as tutors in the "International Student Classes."
● "International Student Alumni Association"
There is an alumni association where international students who have graduated from the university can connect with their seniors. Events such as social gatherings and panel discussions are held.

At Chiba University of Commerce, you can learn general knowledge of commerce, including accounting, economics, and management. There is no need to worry because the classes teach you from the basics. I joined bookkeeping and accounting seminars and study groups, obtained the Nissho Bookkeeping qualification, and am still continuing my studies.
