【 School characteristics 】
● In 2026, SHOBI will celebrate its 100th anniversary!
● SHOBI began accepting international students in April 1975. In the 49 years since then, over 1,000 international students from 39 countries and regions have studied at SHOBI and graduated.
● We invite external corporate auditions to the campus, hold theme park recruitment information sessions, and discover campus artists and nurture them until they make their major debut.
We provide various types of support, including an "employment support program" that incorporates various courses that begin immediately after enrollment, and company information sessions in which we invite over 100 companies each year.
●For those who wish to obtain a degree, there is a recommendation system for transfer to the third year of the adjacent Shobi University (comprehensive credit recognition and full exemption from enrollment fees).
● The Department of Performing Arts and the Department of Entertainment Staff will be opened from 2026.
●If you are a beginner in music and would like to enroll, please participate in the open campus until July.

【International Student Support System, etc】
● Procedural support: We provide "one-stop" support in English, Chinese, and Korean, from participating in open campus events to completing the necessary procedures for enrollment.
● Support for obtaining status of residence/We have been designated as an "Appropriate School (Excellent School for Enrollment Management)" by the Tokyo Regional Immigration Bureau. In principle, you can obtain a 2-year or 4-year "Student" status of residence. We also handle visa renewal procedures and applications for permission to engage in activities other than those permitted, reducing the burden on international students.
● Lifestyle support: We provide support in all aspects of life, such as introducing affiliated student halls, resolving problems related to life in Japan, and providing information on medical institutions in case of emergency.
● Scholarship support: We provide international students with information about scholarships both within and outside the university, as well as information on scholarship applications, and support them in applying for scholarships.
●Career support/We provide support with job hunting and information on further education for international students who wish to continue their studies.

After graduating from university, I came to Japan and have been involved in international exchange in Japan. In my spare time, I started learning musical instruments, and wanted to study composition seriously, so I quit my job and enrolled in Shobi University. At Shobi University, I can learn directly from famous teachers who are active at the forefront, and the facilities are well-equipped, so I think it is a wonderful environment where I can explore the relationship with music that is best suited to me. In the future, while continuing to make music as my life's work, I would like to use the experience I have gained from my work so far to work in a job that is useful for exchange projects through music between Japan, Taiwan, and the world.
