【 School characteristics 】
● This is the only Catholic comprehensive university in Western Japan, including the Chubu region, with 8 faculties and 18 departments all located on a single campus. Its founding philosophy is "to provide school education based on a Christian worldview," and its educational motto is "Hominis Dignitati (For Human Dignity)." It practices an education that fosters acceptance of diversity and cultivates international awareness.
● Our campus is home to approximately 550 international students each year, including those enrolled in regular degree programs and exchange students from partner universities, creating a truly international environment. We provide comprehensive support to international students after their arrival in Japan, covering not only academic matters but also daily life and career development.

【International Student Support System, etc】
● Privately financed international students (with a "Student" residence status) are eligible for tuition fee reductions, with a 50% reduction in tuition and educational enrichment/facility fees.
● Nanzan University offers Scholarship Program for international students (grant-type). We also provide information on Scholarship Program offered by external organizations as it becomes available.
● There is a "Japan Plaza" where you can communicate only in Japanese, and Japanese student staff are always on hand to support international students.
● We offer a variety of unique international student dormitories, including dormitories where you will live with Japanese students, dormitories that combine educational programs, and dormitories that prioritize privacy. You can apply for accommodation that suits your study abroad goals and preferences.
