【School characteristics】
● It is based on the Zen spirit of "righteous mindfulness" and "oneness of practice and study" as established by Zen Master Dogen.
● It is a comprehensive women's university consisting of 5 faculties and 7 departments. In April 2025, the School of Human Studies was reorganized to open the Faculty of Co-Creation Culture, the Faculty of Tourism Culture, and the Faculty of Spatial Design.
● Each seminar teacher is appointed as a homeroom teacher and provides advice on student life, class registration, etc.
● The campus, located on a hill surrounded by nature, offers a variety of practical training experiences.
There are facilities and training rooms.
● You will broaden your horizons through experiential learning through off-campus training, internships, and industry-academia collaboration activities.
● We have a dormitory exclusively for Komazawa Women's University students (La Porte Yurigaoka).
● For students who are in financial difficulty but who have applied themselves sincerely to their studies, tuition fees will be reduced by up to 30% at the time of payment in the second semester.

【International Student Support System】
The members of the International Student Committee work in cooperation with the staff of the Student Support Division to provide support for international students in their academic and lifestyle matters.
●A wide variety of classes are available for each department with the goal of acquiring qualifications. Full support such as preparation courses.
●We provide comprehensive employment support and have a track record of finding employment both in Japan and overseas.
●The admission selection system for international students will be conducted three times a year.
●You can also become friends with other international students.
After enrollment, you will attend the "International Student Orientation" where you will be given information about university life, the various systems and procedures for international students, and the rules you must follow when living in Japan.

We are conducting comparative research between Japan and Korea, focusing on the transformation of regions due to tourism development. Regarding research themes, students will find their own themes and will also present their research on literature related to the theme in a presentation format. Finally, they will present their research themes in a seminar and compile them into a report.
