●This is a traditional university founded in June 1897.
●The main campus is located in Kyoto, a historic city where traditional Japanese culture is still preserved.
●Our student body consists of international students from over 100 countries and regions, creating a campus with a rich international atmosphere.

【International Student Support System, etc】
● As a dormitory for international students, there is Kyoto University International Exchange Center.
●Current students can take Japanese language classes (free of charge) provided by the Center for Japanese Language and Culture Education, Institute for Advanced Studies in International Education, Kyoto University.
(However, Kyoto University does not have a Japanese language department or a special program for international students.)
