● The beginning of our university was in 1908 when the founder Kotaka Otsuma opened a private school for women. We have an environment that "cultivates women who can continue to learn and work."
●It is a comprehensive women's university consisting of 16 departments and majors in 5 faculties, 3 majors in the Junior College and 4 majors in the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences.
●There are two campuses, the Chiyoda Campus in central Tokyo and the Tama Campus, which is surrounded by lush greenery. The Chiyoda Campus houses the Faculty of Home Economics, the Faculty of Letters, the Faculty of Social Information, the Faculty of Comparative Culture, and the Junior College, while the Faculty of Human Relations studies at the Tama Campus.
●There is a student dormitory (Otsuma Kaga Dormitory) near the Chiyoda Campus. Located in a quiet residential area, dormitory staff are available 24 hours a day. High security is ensured with an auto-lock, and a shared room for 6 people with a private room is available. Breakfast and dinner are school lunches, and activity events such as yoga are held for dormitory students several times a month.
The International Center provides support for international students, and in addition to learning specialized fields in each faculty, we support the improvement of Japanese language skills, promote exchanges between international students and Japanese students, etc., so that international students can lead a fulfilling student life. We provide multi-faceted support.
