【 School characteristics 】
● Our university's origins trace back to 1908 when our founder, Kotaka Otsuma, opened a private school for women. We provide an environment that fosters women who can continue to learn and work.
● It is Japan's largest comprehensive women's university, with over 7,000 students enrolled.
● The International Center offers a program called "Japanese Language and Culture" for international students to learn Japanese language and culture. It also regularly holds exchange events with current students on each campus. A peer support system is also available, where current students provide one-on-one support for international students' academic and daily life needs.

When I attended Otsuma's open campus, the teachers were very kind and helpful, which made me feel confident that I could study there. I aspire to become an elementary school teacher, and while subjects like life skills and social studies are not taught in China, which presents some challenges, the clear lessons and peer support system are very reassuring.
