【 School characteristics 】
● The beginning of Meiji Gakuin University is the English Language School established by Dr. JC Haebong, an American missionary doctor known for Hepburn Romaji in 1863.
● We aim to train personnel to realize the educational philosophy "Do for Others" with the spirit of "Building Education by Christianity" as the spirit of construction.
● Graduate school of our university has 12 majors in 7 graduate schools.
●About 30% of graduate students are international students.
●You must pass the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N1 to take the exam.
●It is possible to apply for the Spring Entrance Examination before the JLPT N1 level results announced in December 2023. However, applicants are required to submit a Japanese language proficiency certificate stating that they have passed N1 by the day before the spring entrance examination.

【International Student Support System, etc】
●There is a tuition exemption system (30% exemption from tuition).
●Various scholarships are available for international students.
●Japanese language courses are offered as pre-graduate education.
●Written answers in languages other than Japanese may be accepted depending on the examinee's circumstances in the thesis examination for the International Studies Major. *Advance application required
