Student 's Message

[Reasons for choosing Sapporo University in Japan]
I had many opportunities to interact with Japanese home appliances since childhood, which sparked my interest in Japan. Sapporo University appealed to me because of its calm environment where I could concentrate on my studies, and I felt it was a good fit for me.
How did you learn about Sapporo University?
After arriving in Japan, I was introduced to this university by a teacher at my Japanese language school. I was attracted to the idea of studying basic subjects in the first year and choosing a major in the second year, so I decided to enroll.
[Attractions of attending Sapporo University]
The teachers are all kind and provide thorough instruction. There are many international students, so you can interact with students from many different countries. Also, the cafeteria food is delicious and inexpensive, which is a big plus.
[Future dreams]
I want to find a job in Japan after graduation. I want to apply the business management knowledge I'm learning at university to actual work. To that end, I'm not only studying my specialized subjects, but also diligently studying Japanese little by little.
[Advice for junior colleagues]
Having a proactive attitude is crucial during your study abroad experience. You might feel anxious at first, but if you persevere, the people around you will surely support you.

[Reasons for choosing Sapporo University in Japan]
When I was a child, I traveled to Japan with my family and became interested in the country, and I wanted to live in Hokkaido, in particular. Also, I heard that Sapporo University had excellent Japanese language classes and that I could improve my Japanese language skills there, so I decided to take the entrance exam.
[What I found appealing about Sapporo University after enrolling]
The support for international students is excellent, so I can feel at ease every day. The teachers are also very kind and willing to help not only with my studies but also with my daily life, which is very reassuring.
How to spend your holidays
I usually work a part-time job on one of the weekend days. When I don't have work, I clean my room, do university assignments, or if I have time, I relax by going out to eat or shopping with friends.
[Future dreams]
After graduation, I want to find a job in Japan and work in an international environment. That's why I'm majoring in English at university, and I also want to further improve my Japanese.
[Advice for junior colleagues]
Compared to Japanese language schools, universities offer much more freedom in how you manage your time, such as choosing your own classes. Therefore, I think it's important to set your own goals and act accordingly.
